LINDEN-- Mrs. Martha B. Stephenson, 82, died at 3:55 p.m. Friday at Small's Nursing Home in Waynetown, where she had lived for three months. She was a resident of Linden most of her life. She was born Oct. 27, 1878 to Mr. and Mrs. Milton Harter at Romney. On Dec. 23, 1900, she married William Stephenson at Linden. He died in May, 1947. Survivors include a son, Ernest Stephenson, Rt. 1, New Richmond, and two brothers, Clifton Harter of Anderson and Gilbert Harter of Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Helms Funeral Home's new location, 319 E. South St. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Saturday.
